Journal Background Images

Suggestion: Make it easier for users to add an image background to their journal without editing styles or using Style Sheets that don't work on older browsers.

Implementation: On the modify journal page, add another text box like "page background" titled "page background image". User types in a full url (http://www.site.com/background.jpg) and it gets parsed to the style in the [body background=""] tag.

Disadvantages:
  • Have to add new variables to the style system
  • Existing styles will have to be updated to allow for this change.

Advantages:
  • Users won't need to use complex CSS over rides to perform the operation.
  • Browsers other then 4th Gen will be able to see the background.
  • Simpler implementation, less support issues.
