Ability to manually filter poll results

Ability to manually filter poll results

Short, concise description of the idea
Add something, maybe tickyboxes, next to the names in the list of responses to view the results of the poll without the checked users.

Full description of the idea
Sometimes one might post a poll and (for example) ask only a certain subset of the readers to answer it; all the women, say. Or all the locals. Invariably, there are one or two folks who ignore the instructions and answer the poll. Or maybe there's one pr two people on my friends list whose opinion on a particular subject I don't trust. I'd like to be able to view the results without those jokers. I'm not talking about removing their responses from the poll, just a way to select some of the respondents and click to see the results without those responses. It would also be useful, I think to be able to compare the statistics of different groups; select all the women and see what they think, then all the men...etc.

An ordered list of benefits
  • More detailed analysis of results would be possible
  • Filtering out spurious responses, without specifiying in the text anything like "Everyone (Except frank) please respond!" (which would only sometimes work and would also hurt frank's feelings. Please! Think of Frank!)

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • The selection mechanism might be difficult to implement cleanly and clearly.

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • I'd think checkboxes to the left of each respondent's name would work pretty well, with a button labeled "view results without selected responses" below the list of responses.
