Screen your own Comment!

Screen your own Comment!

Short, concise description of the idea
Have the ability to screen your own comment on someone else's journal.

Full description of the idea
Sometimes, when I want to make a comment on a friend's journal, I want to include something private, like referring to specific details I'm privy to about their life, that they may not want the world to know. I'd like to have the option to be able to make my own comment screened on their journal, so the only person/people who can see it are my friend and I.

An ordered list of benefits
  • 1) More Privacy
  • 2) You can make more personalized comments on your friend's LJ

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • 1) Someone would have to figure out the code to make this possible
  • 2) I honestly can't see any problems. Except maybe someone abusing this to send harassing messages, but it's not like you can't still log IPs and report the person to LJ abuse. And it's not like LJ abuse can't read screened comments as it is...

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • Maybe put in a checkbox option next to the 'check spelling' saying 'screen this comment' or 'make this comment private' or something?
