Make draft recovery box less intrusive

Make draft recovery box less intrusive

Short, concise description of the idea
Currently to recover a draft an alert box pops up after the new entry page loads. This method gives little information, makes it easier to accidently trash the draft, and is startling. Instead I suggest a brightly-colored box on the page itself.

Full description of the idea
In my vision, the box would contain some text from the draft and two buttons: restore and delete.

An ordered list of benefits
  • Would fit better with LiveJournal's style. The current method seems like a hack.
  • Would prevent accidental deletions.

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • It might be less obvious/visible.

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • The "restore" and "delete" buttons map to the current "OK" and "cancel" buttons. A quick look at the JS behind it suggests it would just be a matter of moving around a few lines.
