Make Navigation Bar "Sticky"

Make Navigation Bar "Sticky"

Short, concise description of the idea
The new navigation bar that you can optionally place above your journal and other LJ pages should be a separate frame so it stays put at the top of the browser window while you are scrolling through the page.

Full description of the idea
Described adequetly above.

An ordered list of benefits
  • Visual preference
  • Keeps the LiveJournal logo in view at all times (and possibly ads?)

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • Users may not want it this way. Possibly have it as an option?
  • Handling of external links. The navigation bar shouldn't display outside of the LJ domain. (suggested by abates)

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • The navigation bar simply needs to be placed into a frame or iframe in order for it to "stick" to the top of the page. An option in your LJ settings could be implemented to modify whether the frame is generated or not.
