Change names of login methods

Change names of login methods

Short, concise description of the idea
The login methods at lists the login methods as "secure" and "standard". This implies that the insecure method is the normal login method, and should be changed.

Full description of the idea
Most LiveJournal users login using the "secure" method, which does not send the password itself over the internet. The "standard" method is included for the minority of users with browsers that don't support JavaScript, which is required for the secure login.

More appropriate names for these would be "secure" and "insecure" or "standard" and "insecure".

An ordered list of benefits
  • Avoid confusion over how each method works.
  • Encourage users to use the secure login method.

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • Possible confusion for anyone who manually changes their login method before logging in.

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • Simply change the text. No changes to the actual implementation would be required.
