Short, concise description of the idea
A limit on the number of times one user can nudge another – once a week, say.
Full description of the idea
Although some people use the nudge feature sensibly, others, umm, don't, and send hundreds of nudges per day. It'd be nice to be able to allow the former to continue, while preventing the latter from filling your inbox with nudges (i.e. rather than simply disabling nudges altogether). This could be implemented automatically, or given as another option (i.e. a choice between "allow all", "limit" or "disable altogether").
- It would prevent those annoying ongoing "nudging matches" (in which I take no part of course).
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
- There'd have to be some way of recording who had nudged whom recently, and then checking against this when one user tried to nudge another. I wouldn't think this would cause too much of a problem, though.
An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
- The nudge feature already prevents users from nudging people who have updated in the last week, so presumably it wouldn't be too hard to add something to check whether one user has nudged another recently.
