Option to can the "comment counter"

Option to can the "comment counter"

Short, concise description of the idea
It would be very helpful to have the ability to hide minor details in your journal user info page, such as the "comments made / recieved" counter.

Full description of the idea
Comment counter. Why do people other than the journal owner need to see this?

I have been sort of "stalked" on Livejournal by at least one user who has been watching my comment count, and when she sees the number increase (by even one), she goes hunting for what I've said in my friends list. Though it is harmless, it can be annoying when someone IMs you out of the blue and asks you about something you were speaking of in another journal conversation far, far away.

Bottom line, comment counters only help cyber stalkers. It's just one more little tool that allows them to keep tabs on your activity. It's fine for your own reference, but I just don't see the point of allowing other people to see when you've made a comment somewhere out there within the past hour, or how many you've made in your livejournal lifetime.
