New LJ tags for people who are not on LJ

New LJ tags for people who are not on LJ

Short, concise description of the idea
We currently have LJ tags for people and communities, how about adding ones for people not on LJ?

Full description of the idea
Yes, I know it's a little silly, but half the time I see a description of an event it says something like
Went to the cinema with kekkai, darth_vader and Derek WINOLJ
(where WINOLJ means "Who Is Not On LiveJournal). Seeing as the first two get a little icon next to them, having an icon that means "Is not a LJ member, don't bother to go looking for them" would be kinda cool.

Oh, and if we could also have an LJ tag for people on other journalling sites, such as <lj site='typepad' user='crystalrose'> or <lj site='blogger' user='TechnoLlama'> and have those converted to have a little Typepad logo or a little blogger logo next to them?

An ordered list of benefits
  • Make it easier to have explicit links for people on other sites that make it clear where the links are going to (or not going to, in the case of people without blogs)

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • Extending the <LJ user=''> system to cope with additional sites

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • Recognise additional sites
Create teeny icons for each one (with the help of the other sites, as necessary)
