Full description of the idea
Currently when using the quote option it just copies and pastes the words into the comment area. How do you tell the difference between the quoted text and your comments? For the past three years most of us have been using the italics HTML code to show what we're quoting and then we write our comments. So the answer to how to make the quote option is simple- make it automatically add the italics HTML to what we want to quote.

An ordered list of benefits
  • More people will use the quote option.
It'll cut down on confusion for those using the option and reading the post of someone who used it.
    It'll save time.
It'll be more helpful and not a waste of comment area space.

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • Compared to the current method the quote option gives, I can't see a drawback to my suggestion.

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • I don't know the mechanics, but I'm sure you smart folks can fix it with a few clicks.
