Printing Option

Ability to Print Entire Journal

Short, concise description of the idea

A function to allow users to print a hard copy of their full journal in chronological order

Full description of the idea

Basically, the client would download the entries from the server one by one and then arrange them into some printable format, in forward chronological order rather than backwards chronological order as is normally displayed on journal pages.

An ordered list of benefits

  • Users could print a hard copy of their journal for backup purposes

  • Users could print a certain range of entries that may be connected into a mini booklet.. almost a story. You could write chapters of a book and then print them out in the correct order that way.

  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • Just coding, I would guess. Coding the clients to arrange the entries into a printable format. It can already take down entries one by one (history calendar) so it seems like it shouldn't be too hard to assign a template it can use to arrange them across pages.

  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
get someone who can code (not I :) to code this for a future version of whatever client. I guess you could also code this pretty easily in PHP to just generate a temporary webpage of all a user's entries, or the user's entries within a certain range, in chronological order.
