List # Of Members In Community When Searching By Interest

List # Of Members In Community When Searching By Interest

Short, concise description of the idea
The idea is to have the al list of the number of members in a community listed next to the community name or title. Point being, to sift out the tiny communities and find a true community.

Full description of the idea
It's just an idea that i think doesn't bug many people, but would prove more helpful than not. It would just help sift out the communities that are sort of 'dead' in the fact that they're not updated much because there aren't many dedicated members.

An ordered list of benefits

  • -individual finds top community in interest they searched for
  • -more members for communities once the idea is in place and understood
  • -sifting out of dead communities
  • -just an extra convienant option
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • -might take away members from personally created communties
  • -too many members to one community (is there a limit?)
  • -trolls possibly
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • I'm not sure that anything would need to be changed. The only thing i can think of, is that it might make the description somewhat cluttered looking in the searches. For that, i propose that the number be after the community name and description in a small text format cupped by parenthesis.
