Expose public friends groups

Expose public friends groups

Short, concise description of the idea
Add a list of public friends groups, and their memberships, to the full info page.

Full description of the idea
Right now Public friends groups are not exposed; it's up to the person who makes the public friends group to decide whether and how to expose this. If the point of a public friends group is to let others see filtered versions of your friends page, then they need a place to go to find out what filtered versions exist.

An ordered list of benefits

  • Publicizes Public friends groups.
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • Some users may not wish to publicize their "Public" groups, but rather to only tell some specific people about them (a.k.a. Security Through Obscurity).
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • Below Friends: on the full version of userinfo.bml, add Friends Groups:. Each entry is named with the filter name and is a link to a filtered version of the users' friends page. The header ("Friends Groups") links to a page akin to the "Edit Custom Friends Groups" page, but with only the ability to view groups, not to edit them.
