Previous Entries Pages

Previous N Entries

All I want is to be able to go all the way back to the start of a journal using 'previous [20] entries' pages. At the moment there is an artificial limit -- you can only go back 60 entries using the 'previous N entries' pages. Entries beyond 60 can only be hobbled back through by the 'previous day' links, consigning them to the junk heap of journaling. I want my entries easily accessible to new readers, who can just keep going back and back and back. Otherwise, nobody will ever find 'em, unless they've got more energy and patience than I do.

Benefits:

Earlier entries will be more likely to get read, instead of just taking up DB space.

People who want to go back and read their own or someone else's entries will have an easier time getting at old ones.

No major programming changes ought to be needed.. I don't understand why the limit exists to begin with. It is possible there's an issue I'm not seeing here, but it upsets me that it looks like my journal stops dead 60 entries ago unless I go to calendar view.
