Title
Add Links to XColibur Navigation Area & Site Map Leading to Community Search Page

Short, concise description of the idea
A link to the Community Search page should be added to the XColibur navigation links and the site map.

Full description of the idea
The Community Search page (http://www.livejournal.com/community/search.bml) is usable again, but it's pretty much only being linked to in FAQs. We should also link to it under the "Search" heading of the XColibur navigation area. Currently, the only pages linked from there are /random.bml, /directory.bml, /interests.bml, and /directorysearch.bml. /community/search.bml would be a perfect addition.

Also, the Community Search page is not currently listed at the site map (http://www.livejournal.com/site/). /community/ is listed at the site map, and that page does link to the Community Search page, but I think a direct link to the Community Search page would be good to put under the "Search / Find Users" section of the map.

Note: JProulx indicated in a comment to a previous suggestion that some new links will soon be added to the site map, so this could be one of them. In that case, the only place we'd still need to add the link would be the XColibur navigation area.

An ordered list of benefits

  • Won't have to hunt to find a very useful page.
  • Increases awareness of the page, which reduces the number of people asking in Support how to find communities.
  • Makes the site easier to use.
  • Encourages community growth by assisting users in finding communities they might be interested in.
  • Reduction in the number of pages you need to view to find the Community Search page (/community/, FAQs, etc.) could help reduce load a tiny little bit.
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • None that I can think of. Please share any you think might be involved.
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • Find someone who knows for sure how to do this (that would not include me), poke them into doing it.
