Multiple concurrent log-in in web client

Multiple concurrent log-in in web client

Short, concise description of the idea
Some people have multiple LJs to reflect different facets of their personality or different interests. Instead of having to log-in/out for each one permit multiple 'in' status.

Full description of the idea
I use the web client and, as this is probably done by a cookie, would seek to have this cookie permit being logged-in for multiple IDs at the same time rather than just one at a time.

An ordered list of benefits

  • Easier and faster to read the friends-locked entries of all the people you list as friends on the one read rather than having to re-load for each user-id you have
  • lightens load on servers as reduces number of database accesses due to fewer reloads
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • probable recode of part of web client to check through the cookie for multiple user-ids on read
  • recode of cookie-write code
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • when selecting the 'log-in' box either from not logged in or from an individual comment *add* this to the current status cookie rather than *replace* the current content.
  • Add to cookie decode the additional checks down the tree
  • (if not a cookie, appropriate other equivalent!)
