Posts per day in userinfo

Title
Posts per day in userinfo

Short, concise description of the idea
Having a heading in the full mode of the userinfo showing a user's average number of posts per day.

Full description of the idea
I think this would fit right in with the number of journal entries since account creation and date created. It's not extremely useful, just another nifty-looking stat to look at about a user. If anyone wanted to really dive into this one, a similar stat could be generated about comments posted and comments received per day.

An ordered list of benefits

  • Some people like to add people to their friends list based not only on how interesting their entries are, but how often they post. This is a clear and simple number that can show how "spammy" (or silent) a journal or community is.
  • No real benefits otherwise, besides it being just another neat statistic to look at in the userinfo. But where would we be without neat useless statistics in our lives?
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • Calculating the posts per day would take minimal effort for the servers and databases, I should think... but with too many people looking at userinfo in full mode, I could see it being a bit of a load. But then, I could be wrong.
  • Users might not want their posts broken down in quite this way if they make a lot of private or friends entries, despit the fact that the statistic is always there to be calculated by hand.
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • A simple script or some such could be written to count the number of days since the journal creation date. Divide the number of entries by the number of days, round it to something like hundredths, and plug it into the userinfo after the number of journal entries.
  • I supose it would only take a simple calculation and a chnge in the userinfo template? I feel so un-technical. :-)
