Username Based CommunityEntry Search

Title
Username Based CommunityEntry Search

Short, concise description of the idea
An ability to search a community for entries by a specific user.

Full description of the idea
This could be accomplished either by a button in the community page, or possibly a drop-down menu inside the community's userinfo page, to allow seeing a list of entries by that user, viewable by date.

An ordered list of benefits

  • Allows a fast search for entries in high-volume communities
  • Allows for easy sorting of said entries without having to bookmark or otherwise catalogue the diverse entries
  • Might benefit long-running or frequently referenced posts in some of the higher-volume communities.
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • People might not want their entries to be indexed.
  • Potentially could lag a database if too many searches are run at the same time.
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • Umm...if this was done as a form, I see two easy methods.
  • One is a dropdown list with the authorized posters in the community, and possibly a field for a date range, which then goes out and searches on that criteria.
  • The other is a form where you input the username, and it searches the community based on that, once again with the possible implementation of a username.
