LJ-Cut Styles

LJ-Cut Styles

Short, concise description of the idea
Instead of the default font and link style for LJ-Cut, user would be able to choose among a variety styles that is already available to them with HTML and CSS, etc.

Full description of the idea
Weknow what we can do with LJ-Cut, now that it's been around for awhile, but the link-text is a little boring. What if we were able to change the style per use, such as: <lj-cut marquee="Look inside for all the juicy details"> This would scroll the text within a defined area, not just across the whole entry. There could also be: <lj-cut tt=""> , <lj-cut strong=""> , <lj-cut glow=""> , <lj-cut strike=""> , and so on. Another thought might be, <lj-cut arial.marquee=""> , but that is just a shot in the dark. Something similar could be developed.

An ordered list of benefits

  • It would look better, for those users that use styles a lot in expressing themselves.
  • Slightly more interactive for the poster.
  • Uhm, nifty?
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • I don't think it would be much of a problem, just a little more (parsing) to do, but nothing heavy at all.
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • Somebody could figure out the implementation better than I.
