Navigation and Old Entries

Title
Navigation and Old Entries

Short, concise description of the idea
Change the Navigation on older journal entries from 'previous Day' to a default 'Calendar View'

Full description of the idea
To reduce the load on LiveJournal's servers, the "Recent Entries" view will only show the most recent 75 entries. This is indeed by design, and there's no way around it; it's to keep the site stable and usable. Fair enough. I'm not too worried about the fact that it moves to Calendar View, but I am mildly concerned about the number of '(no journal entries for this day)' to go through. Is it possible to change the 'previous Day' to 'previous Month' or even a 'previous entries' that defaults to the generic calendar view for the current year? This would reduce the load on the servers even more, by reducing the navigation necessary and therefore the number of requests to the server?
