Title
automatic tagging

Short, concise description of the idea
posts sent via TxtLJ are automatically tagged with "TxtLJ".

Full description of the idea
there have been times i've wanted to find all my posts sent via my mobile phone but they're not tagged so i have to manually find them in each month. it would be really nice if they were just auto tagged with "TxtLJ" so that when i wanted to find them, i could immediately have access to all of them via the tag. it would also make future tagging/editing easier.

An ordered list of benefits
  • easy categorization of all posts (currently, TxtLJ is excluded from easy categorization)
  • future editing less tedious
  • no need to remember to tag your recent TxtLJ posts before they get "lost" among more recent posts
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • i don't know if/what it costs you guys to offer the TxtLJ option -- offering auto tagging would possibly increase the usage of this feature and if it costs you guys something, the cost would go up. perhaps only marginally -- but if not, then maybe you could wholesale it back to paid members...(in other words, charge paid members only the extra that you have to pay...)
  • that's honestly the only possible issue i can think of...doesn't mean there aren't more...

Title
Only friend-only entries on the Friends page

Short, concise description of the idea
Feature request allowing a user see only protected entries on their Friends page

Full description of the idea
Rather often it is needed to see only protected entries on the Friends page which can't be seen from a public source. This happens when a user uses a public place to read their Friend page but doesn't want to enter their password. Later when he or she is logged into their account again there is very disappointing and useless to reread the Friend page being afraid to miss a protected entry from their friend.
Another point I can see is that this is very convenient to read the entries of a friend like news or events using an external rss-reader. Sometimes this is more suitable than reading a Friends page, but then a problem appear when a person wants to read protected entries because the public posts have already beed read.

An ordered list of benefits
  • Ability to read the Friends page not being afraid of missing something or entering your password in the suspicious places
  • Being more convenient to use LiveJournal
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • Can't see any
