Title
One-click to calendar

Short, concise description of the idea
The home page would have a button on it that takes you straight to your archive or calendar when you are logged in.

Full description of the idea
Somewhere in the Journal drop-down menu on the home page, there should be a button for archive or calendar. That way, as soon as you log in, you can get to your calendar in only one click, instead of having to go first to your journal.

An ordered list of benefits
  • Faster calendar access
  • Convenience for "looking up" something in your past entries
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • It would mean another link on the home page (clutter?)

Title
Viewing Pages in Other User's Styles

Short, concise description of the idea
Each user has his/her own page layout. This feature will allow you to view any page in another user's layout.

Full description of the idea
Livejournal has a feature wherein you add ?style=mine to an entry to view it in your own style. This feature I'm suggesting, is an extension of that.

If, for example, I want to see my own page in username1's style, I will then add ?style=username1 and I will view my page in the current style that username1 is using.

An ordered list of benefits
  • It's a quick & easy customization preview tool: It would save someone spending hours adopting another person's theme only to find out it doesn't look as nice on their own journal.
  • It's fun, something to play around with.
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • None that I can think of.
