Mood icon theme manual input

Mood icon theme manual input

Short, concise description of the idea
Add an option in Modify Journal to manually input a mood theme id.

Full description of the idea
Along my travels in LJ, I've come across users who've created mood themes and wanted to share them with the world (i.e. napoleonherself's Mr. Saturn theme). However, the process to simply use a custom mood theme set (not CREATE a custom mood theme set, just to USE someone else's) seems cumbersome at best. I'm suggesting to add an option in Modify Journal, next to the dropdown for the 'default' mood themes, something to the effect of "or enter a mood theme ID: (entry box)". This would allow users to quickly use other mood themes if they so choose.

An ordered list of benefits

  • Easier to use custom mood themes.
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • Say, for example, a user does not want their custom theme being used elsewhere. Unless mood themes are changed so that they have a 'private' bit on them, this would kill any or all privacy a mood theme has if the ID is known.
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • Add option in Modify Journal for manual mood theme input. This should be easy; if you simply hack the HTML file to force a different ID in the dropdown, it works perfectly, but I'm suggesting to remove the whole 'hack the HTML' step.
  • Add option in Preview Mood Theme to allow manual mood theme input.
  • Possibly include a 'private' bit on Mood Themes?
