warn about html in support requests

warn about html in support requests

Short, concise description of the idea
html doesn't work in support requests, but the submission page makes no mention of this. it should.

Full description of the idea
on the page for submitting support requests [], it really should say that html does not work in support requests, to avoid horrible things like the request i just put in []. (alternately, maybe html should be enabled in support requests. in this case, i'd suggest putting in a preview button.)

An ordered list of benefits

  • look at my request again. do you want more like that?
  • people can save the precious milliseconds of wasteful html coding
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • i don't see how there could be any problems with this. so instead i will recommend you all watch the movie "brazil" because it is excellent.
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • the standard phrasing seems to be:
"No HTML allowed, so don't worry about about escaping < and >
URLs are automatically link-ified, so just reference those."
so just paste this into the submit page somewhere. ta da!
