Community "Friends" on userinfo

Community "Friends" on userinfo

Short, concise description of the idea
Distinguishing between "friends" and "communities" by separating watched communities from your friend's list.

Full description of the idea
Using the web client, I find my friends area on my user info difficult to read with my communities listed. It's annoying to skip over the communities to see who I've named as a friend. If you had "Friends" just be the people you've added as friends, and another section for the communities you're watching, it would make it easier to get a realistic view of who your non-community friends are.

An ordered list of benefits

  • Easier to read "Friends" area.
  • Number displayed is accurate to actual "friends" rather than friends and communities.
  • An ordered list of problems/issues involved

  • Takes up more space on the User Info page
  • Possibly difficult to code(?)
  • An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation

  • Add a section after or before the "Member of" section that says something like: "Watched Communities" or "Watched".
  • Tags: community membership, friends, profile/userinfo, § implemented
    • Post a new comment
