Blocking a User

Blocking a User

Short, concise description of the idea
I feel Live Journal should enable a user to completely block another user from being seen, not just in their own journals but also in other journals and communities.

Full description of the idea
I've encountered a bit of a problem just a couple days ago with Live Journal. After removing a friend from my friend's list, after real life personal drama, I realized that there were no features in Live Journal to completely block a user, making yourself completely invisible to that user and vice versa (think of blocking people on Facebook). I am aware of the banning feature ( http://www.livejournal.com/manage/banusers.bml ) that enables you to prohibit a user from your own journal, but I see there is nothing that hides your username/profile from another user on journals and communities you and the "ban-ee" are both apart of. I submitted a question about said block feature ( http://www.livejournal.com/support/see_request.bml?id=1471773& ) thinking that I simply was overlooking it, but I was informed that there was no such thing.
I want my username and profile to be hidden from certain users. I do not want to be seen by, or see, certain users in communities and in other journals we are both apart of. This makes me feel uncomfortable posting or commenting in journals/communities the desired banned user and I are both apart of.
Once you block someone, that person should no longer be able to view your username/profile, and the other way around, within journals and communities you both are a member/friend of.
