Change File Name on non-Default Icons without losing it on previous entries
Short, concise description of the idea
Users should be able to rename icons without having them replaced by the Default Icon on previous journal entries where they've been used.
Full description of the idea
Whenever a person wants to change the name of a non-Default Icon, they face the inevitable fact that every entry where they've used that image will revert to their Default Icon. This is frustrating.
When a user renames an icon, the file itself is not changed; just the title. Because all icons have a unique URL address, it should not matter when they are renamed because their URL addresses remain the same. Therefore, non-Default Icons should not be replaced by the Default one on previous journal entries every time a user decides to update a non-Default Icon's title/information.
- Allows users to change the file names on their icons without fear of losing the image on previous journal entries.
- Easily rename Icons for browsing convenience, since LiveJournal lists all icons alphabetically (in drop-down boxes for comments, etc.)
- Promote organization.
- Prevent icon frustration.
- None that come to mind. Promote OCD tendencies? ;D
