Put Site/User Back as Default for Search

Title
Put Site/User Back as Default for Search

Short, concise description of the idea
Put Site/User back as default for Find option!

Full description of the idea
Remove Interest as default for the Find option and put it lower on the list!! Put Site/User back as default!!!

An ordered list of benefits
  • The benefit is that trying to find communities I like to read on without popping into an interest page filled with people who already belong to those communities will stop driving me crazy.

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • Having Interest as an option is all very nice. If I ever want to browse LiveJournal, it's very nice to know that option is there. HOWEVER... I am a member of or go to a very few small communities and I'm NOT generally interested in going anywhere else but there... I have been using the Find Site/User default option to go directly to those communities since I got on LJ. I am NOT computer-friendly and if there is a way to access those communities more quickly than using that option, without having to take an extra step to call up a menu, I don't know what it is!

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • Remove Interest from Default and put back Site/User or send me a way to get to sites quicker and with less opportunity for crazy-making detours to a stupid Interest page so this will stop making me crazy!!!! And by the way... I commented and mentioned this issue on a posting by a LJ staffer a week or two ago and noticed that a lot of people had a problem with the same issue... I never did get a reply telling me WHY this change to Interest as default was supposed to be such a hot idea in the first place. Which is why I'm here now!!! So put it back!!!!!
