content modules on the homepage should have the option for being disabled

Title
content modules on the homepage should have the option for being disabled

Short, concise description of the idea
The content modules on the homepage should have the option of not being there. Not all of us want our homepage to be cluttered by 'Explore', 'Journal Comments' 'Birthdays' etc. There should be an option to disable these contents, and also to enable them as per the user's wish.

Full description of the idea
See above. It's not too difficult of a request.

An ordered list of benefits
  • Those who want the content modules will have them, those who don't won't.

An ordered list of problems/issues involved
  • n/a

An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
  • Have an 'x' at the top of the module to disable/hide the module from site. Also have a list of conent modules that can be chosen from. This is popular with college websites, email, etc.
