As long as I can remember (and I've been here since 2002), users have been asking for improvements to the Scrapbook. The most recent change made it even more DIFFICULT to use, in my opinion.

The major changes have always seem to focus on how it displays, rather than how it actually WORKS.

I agree that it needs changes. It should be easier to upload and easier to LINK the photos that have been uploaded. And, yeah, why can't we upload multiple images at one time? We do this other places, so we know it's possible...

+1 on this one.

*looks at date on entry* wow this was way back in May and I completely forgot I had submitted this, let alone knew it would get publicly shown somewhere lol

I further agree it drastically needs changes on how it WORKS rather than how it displays. Right now I'm only in love with how it makes the resized versions for convenience (320x320pixels, etc) and that the links remain the same no matter how much you move them around the albums...

But yeah, there are so many basic features that should have LONG been a part of the Scrapbook feature, and LJ certainly won't be attracting more paid accounts for this feature until then. Pick up some basic intelligence, LJ! *stares* 8|

So, you didn't actually submit this to [info]suggestions? That's odd, if true -- I just had another LiveJournal user say they'd sent something privately to LJ, only to find it publicly displayed here! (hmm)

It makes me NUTS how difficult it is just to get to the Galleries part of Scrapbook. I mean, does it really need to be three steps?

And as someone who frequently teaches others how to use LJ, the more complicated something is, the harder it is to explain (much less do). (sigh)

I think Scrapbook is more important here than ever before, so it could certainly use some work! I rarely say this, but this would be a high priority to me!

A lot of people manage to miss the part of the [info]suggestions submission process that notes that it will be posted to the [info]suggestions community.

Indeed I somehow missed it~ At least I don't remember seeing it back when I wrote it up back in May, then again I don't even remember I wrote up this suggestion at all since I must have done it on such a whim. XD;;; It's still something that should be worked on and I'm glad to see I'm the only one who thinks so!

multiple image upload is a very important improvement i never use the scrapbook because of that i need to upload a lot of pics and i can upload 30 pics one at one

There is so much that needs doing to scrapbook, but it seems to be abandonware these days. My guess is nothing much will ever happen.
